hmm, I don't know, and I am looking for something different this year. Check out this recipe, it looks so good! Maybe I'll give it a trial run and see if it's as good as it looks. How can it not be? Chocolate, pecans and liquor, sounds delicious!
Ingredients:
3 extra large eggs, slightly beaten
1 C sugar
2 T melted butter
1 C dark corn syrup
1 t vanilla
1/4 C Jack Daniel's
1/2 C semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c whole pecans
1 10 inch pie crust, unbaked
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine eggs, sugar, butter, syrup, and whiskey. Mix well and strain. Sprinkle most of the chips over bottom of crust. Cover with pecans. Pour filling over chips and pecan. Sprinkle top with remaining chips. Bake 35-40 minutes, let cool 30 minutes before cutting. Makes 6-8 servings.
Please tell me if you've ever had this pie or if you have any suggestions for a yummy holiday pie.
Thanks so much- Krista
