Happy Halloween!!!

Pumpkin carving was so much fun this year!
Happy Halloween to all of our fellow bloggers! I had to add a picture of my little Thumbalina. Vallie loves everything sparkly, pink and pretty. However she did fire the football through the bullseye three times in a row at the school carnival! Maybe she won't be a princess after all.
Have a safe night out tonight with our ghosts and goblins!

Linky Party for Vignettes

My fireplace is always decked out for whatever holiday is next. For this vignette I used an old shutter I had in the garage and some faux pumpkins I got at a garage sale, a birdhouse gourd, tin pumpkin and do you see that bottle full of bittersweet? Wanna hear something super nasty and scary (goes with the Halloween theme)? My hubby got it an auction and we went to clean it out and it had about 9 dead baby mice in it that had been in there for......I'm guessing years! I think I used a gallon of bleach!

At the top of my stairs sits this old dresser. This witch was hand molded and made by my mom, she has lots of detail in her face and hands. My kids thinks she's so great!

I used and old window box we made here, a baby bed rail for the backdrop and an old coffee sack for the runner. My entry is forever changing, I rarely have the same furniture in there for more than a couple months.

Donna over at Funky Junk Interiors is having a Saturday Linky Party! Her theme this weekend is vignettes. Who doesn't love making vignettes throughout their home. Anything goes, there's no limit and you can change them as often as you like! My vignettes are all Halloween or fall this time of the year. I really get into the seasons around here, it's kinda crazy. I love old sap buckets as you can see, I filled them with seasonal drieds, my favorite is the bittersweet. Head on over there and check out all the great stuff!

Flea Marketeer Party!

I couldn't pass up the opportunity to post one of my favorite
finds!! We found this old hose reel at the dump and used an old
sewing maching pedal for the table/plant stand top. It was
the perfect marriage of junk! I love it when that happens, don't you?
Thanks and head over to Flea Market Style to check out all the great posts!

And the Winner is....

Yes, we did pick a winner on Sunday and are finally getting around to posting it! Congratulations to Beyond the Picket Fence!!! Check out her blog she is one amazing gal with loads of energy and very cool projects. She is a talented artist as well as a mother, wife and preschool teacher. http://www.bec4-beyondthepicketfence.blogspot.com/

What a crazy week it's been around our house. Kids, kids, and more kids! My own as well as my first graders. Good thing I adore the little cherubs. I had to share this "perfect picture" of fall. It makes me want to cozy up with a book, bake apple crisp or cut out sugar cookies, light the fireplace and snuggle with my kids under our many quilts and read picture books all day!

Enjoy these wonderful fall days! Krista
