1. Pine garlands, leave them out! You can do a number of things with garlands. You can add pine cones, grapevine, kitchen utensils, garden tools, you can pretty much make them any theme you want so why not enjoy them all winter?
2. Berries, add them to your garlands if you wish! I loved 32o Sycamore's post yesterday. She mentioned how to save the chipping red berries. Super easy, fix them with red nail polish! I love it, my girlfriend Jodie told me this a while back as well. It works wonders, so don't throw them out either!
3. Trees, keep out those bottle brush trees. They are so dang cute and you can do a number of things with them. I put this little guy under a cloche in an old pie plate and added some glittery snow. Enjoy your winter decorating gals!
I had to add this picture, I love feeding the birds and this pileated Woodpecker has never come to the feeder close to my house, but he did today! Probably because I filled it with left over peanut butter balls! They are better for his waist line, not mine!

Love the white tree with snow under the cloche! What a great photo of the Woodpecker!
I'm keeping out a few of my Christmas items as well. The pine cones and berries still say winter to me even though Christmas is over. And some items with stars might make another appearance during the Fourth of July.
Amen on those things, those are definite year round keepers! Great blog, glad I found you! Hugs, Janna
You are so welcome I love your blog.
I noticed I am not on your list of blogs you follow.I would love to be on that list.

I'm just starting to put away my Xmas stuff and now I realize that I should keep out some stuff. Another suggestion---snowmen! Why not!?
Your bottle brush tree makes me drool. You did a great job. THANKS FOR SHARING AND HAPPY NEW YEAR
I keep my snowmen out until Valentines' Day. I live in Southeast Virginia and we don't have snow very often. Having the snowmen out gives me a little hope that the white stuff might eventually sprinkle down on us.
Great tips, I never thought about using nail polish to fix chipped berries. I love your white tree, it's so pretty.
Great tips! I love the bottle brush tree.
I'm getting ready to put away my Christmas decor but think I'll keep some things out - a few snowmen, some red garland and berries and maybe even my alpine trees. They just look way to pretty with twinkle lights! Thanks for the inspiration!
I keep several items up through the winter as well. Snowmen, eucalyptus garland, (I add snow dusted pine cones) red berry topiary trees, snowflakes. Basically non Christmasy items that keep our home feeling "wintery". I love the peanut butter balls for the birds. I made my own suet and feeder (on my blog) to keep the woodpeckers from chasing off the finches, cardinals, etc. I've enjoyed visiting your blog.
